OUR PROGRAMME COMPRISES 4 CORNERSTONES THAT RUN OVER A 4‑YEAR PERIOD

Each cornerstone is designed to provide you with essential experience in the construction industry whilst meeting the needs of the business.

Cornerstone 1:
 
 
Formal training in health & safety, environmental, sustainability, and quality management.
 
 
In the first cornerstone you will get a thorough grounding in the basis of construction and how it is managed on a project, though a series of training courses.  Following this, you will undergo a futher 2‑week course at our operative trade training center, where you will learn what to expect when you get on site as well as learn how to resolve a few of the problems and ensure work continues as efficiently as possible.

Cornerstone 2:
 
Work experience on a live construction project.
 
You will be assigned to a live construction project where you will test all the skills you have learnt at both university and on the training program. On site is a great place to learn and really understand how buildings are put together, including the challenges that come with it!

Cornerstone 3:
 
 
 
 
Rotational work placements with our specialists and experts
 
 
 
 
You will get a wide variety of experience in all aspects of construction through our departmental rotation phase.  In this phase you will be placed with a number of different specialists to work alongside our experts and learn from them about how we manage important aspects of construction like health & safety, estimation, planning, commercial, and the procurement process.

Cornerstone 4:
 
Mentorship for professional qualifications
(MICE or MCIOB or RICS)
 
In this conrnerstone you will be assigned a mentor who will provide you with coaching and advice as well as a formal training book aimed at you obtaining professional qualifications such as MICE or MCIOB or RICS in due course. While it is time‑consuming, the benefits to your career can be significant.
